With pre-funding focus groups of investors, each company goes through a full vetting of ideas, pitch talking points, and deck materials with a focus on structure and valuation. Startups sometimes forget the pitch deck is not to prove they have a good idea, it is to make money.

The pre-raise sitdowns with investor groups allow companies to meet with people who run investments for hundreds of millions of dollars and practice their pitch without asking for money. These CIOs are there as mentors and rotate in on deals to give guidance and advice on what they look for and why they will fund an idea and how much.

Arthur Percy, Vice President, head of investments at Aelion Group, has more than 25 years of experience in investing in and running multimillion-dollar companies. He started his career in New York working as a Senior Vice President for Synergy International and has spent the last 15 years incubating companies and assessing investments in the technology and hospitality industries.  He comes to Aelion with extensive knowledge having served previously as COO and CCO of two international digital real-time companies and digital asset startups. He received his Honorary and Bachelor’s degrees from Upper Canada College and American University.

Nichole Ibrahim

Nichole Ibrahim is the Chief Administrative Officer of AeLION Group.  In this role, she supports investment due diligence, financial analysis, and deal execution.  Prior to joining AeLION Group, Mrs. Ibrahim worked with Goldman Sachs where she facilitated Corporate Action events and Asset Servicing functions. In this role, she became a technical expert and participated in a number of global improvement projects.  She later went on to work in Real Estate development and has been involved in over 200 transactions to date.  Mrs. Ibrahim brings expertise in assessing business strategies and documentation as well as providing qualitative and quantitative analysis of investment proposals.  Mrs. Ibrahim earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University.
